On 1 November 2019 the regular meeting of the Association Commission for International Cooperation and Local Coordination in the field of Astronomy was held.
Members of the Commission were introduced to the progress and draft Project which is designed to build the Multifunctional Center for Education, Science, Astronomy and Innovation, which will be the most advanced Science Center in Europe and elsewhere. This project comes as a result of the unstoppable work of the members of this Commission and based on the needs of Kosova to have such a multifunctional center, where all science labs and educational classes will be located. The Commission will review the current progress of the Commission’s work and materials translated into Albanian for astronomy, which will be printed and distributed in schools. Also, the proposal of cooperation based on the official letter of the German Center for Aerospace and Space (DLR) was discussed. Promoting Astronomy in Schools and some other activities.
The meeting was attended by Sabit Gashi, Chairperson of the Commission and official of the Kosova Air Navigation Services Agency (ASHNA), Prof. Dr. Shukri Klinaku – Professor and Director of the Institute of Physics at the University of Prishtina, Prof. Dr. Bahri Prebreza – Professor at the University of Prishtina and official at ASHNA, Prof. Fetah Krasniqi Professor at the University of Prishtina and official at ASHNA, Prof. Nazmi Mehanja Professor of Physics, Suhel Ahmetii – President of the Astronomy Club of Kosova (ACK), Ilir Isufi – ASHNA Officer, Blerina Turbunja – Physicist, Flaktrim Rrahimi – ACK Club Member, Lirak Hamiti from the Astronomy Club ASTROFER, Pranvera Begolli from ACK Club, Nurtene Gavazi – Geographer and member of ACK Club, Rina Berisha – member of ACK Club.
The Association’s General Secretariat was attended by the President of the Association, Shkelzim Murtezi, and members of the General Secretariat, the branch office in Pejton-Prishtina: Arta Sejdiu, Arjeta Ferati and Bledon Kameri.
